SECRET CODE - REVEALED

And the winning prize goes to Doug. Prizes are awarded as stated in contest rules. If you couldn't find the rules - too bad, your loss, my gain.

Yes it is an S.O.S. in morse code. O.k. so shoot me. I was in a mood and thought I would stump you all and then I totally forgot about my blog as I was busy visiting in the city and it just slipped my mind. It was silly I know. Next time will give you something a little easier.

How did I get S.O.S. out of it? Well Go! is three characters and Stop is four. Dot is three characters, and dash is four. Dot dot dot, dash dash dash, dot dot dot, is the morse code for S.O.S.

Did you know that after the Titanic disaster, that a law was passed that an operator had to be on call 24/7 in the code room or whatever they are called.

It seems the Titanic sent out an S.O.S. and there was a ship near by that could have picked up ALL the passengers - BUT - the operator wasn't in the room to receive the S.O.S. call and they missed it. Can you imagine? All those people died because someone wasn't at that station. Now you know something that maybe you didn't know before. If you did know it, too bad. I had to write SOMETHING!!!!!

So the moral of the story is - stay at your station in life - no matter how boring it might be. You never know. Thousands of people may be depending on you.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Have a great day and sorry for the silly mystery.

SECRET MESSAGE

This is a secret message. Can anyone figure it out?

Go! Go! Go! Stop Stop Stop Go! Go! Go! Stop Stop Stop

Have fun.

DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE

The Holiday Season is upon us and there is hustle and bustle everywhere. Everyone is busy busy busy. Cooking, baking, shopping, decorating and getting ready for The Big Day. No time to stop. No time to think. Just go go go.

Unbeknownst to anyone, is a young man walking through the crowds of people. No one seems to notice him. He is just an ordinary man going about his business like anyone else. Or is he?

Upon closer inspection - if anyone took the time to look - this man is very sorrowful. He has tears in his eyes. Even in these big crowds he seems so alone and forgotten. He is thinking of ending it all, but does anyone care? Would anyone even notice? He doubts it, and that causes him more pain. His only fault was that he loved too much and now he must end it all.

People hurry past him and don't care if they knock him over or not. Down he goes, but no one helps him up. Again he goes on his way. Feet walking slower now. Again he is pushed down. Again no one stops or notices. There is too much to do. To many errands to run. Time is running out. Hurry, hurry, hurry. For a third time he is knocked down and again he is ignored.

"Why, oh why, do these people act like this?" he asks himself. "Don't they know what I am going through?" "Don't they even care a little?" But he is only met with silent disregard.

Each step he takes seems harder and harder. He is on his way to die and the crowds around him are too involved in their own lives to even notice or care.

How can he face this?
So alone, so alone.
But he must do it, he seems to have no choice. It must be done. It must be ended once and for all. He just can't take the pain anymore.

Oh, so much pain, so much suffering, so much loneliness. It must be ended.

Not long ago, he had so many friends. Where were they now? He feels so abandoned. Were they so busy with their own lives that they couldn't be with him at this time? He gave them so much of himself and now he was deserted.

Onward he goes, step by step, coming ever closer to his end. Is this what he was born for?

Soon they would see. Soon they would know. He was not a liar. He did love more than they could ever know. He did care and he would prove it to them. He could feel his heart breaking.

Finally he reaches his destination. The time has come. Soon, very soon, it will all be over.

Oh, but the pain, the aloneness.

With his final breath he screams out.........

"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

He came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. John 10:10

SCATTERED THOUGHTS

Christmas is coming
Dallas is getting fat
Would you please put a penny
In Val’s hat.

That’s what my little sisters used to sing whenever Christmas was coming around. The little devils.

Well Val is gone now but you can send the pennies my way just the same. With inflation, I think you should make that DOLLARS now. All those wanting to donate - send me an email and I will gladly give you my address.

Here I sit with my tree all decorated (since early Nov.) and my house all decorated for Christmas, but I have no furniture. The company I ordered it from - guaranteed me - I would have it in plenty of time for Christmas. Now they claim they aren’t supposed to tell you WHEN you are going to get your stuff. Can you imagine that? What kind of a company works that way?

If I don’t get that furniture soon and get some sort of satisfaction from this company, I am going to spread their BAD name all over the net and warn people not to buy from them ever again. Something has to be done about this injustice.

Other than that, I am all ready for Christmas. All the gifts are wrapped and ready to go and I am ready to go. I am spending the holidays with one of my daughters and Christmas day at my parents house.

I am finding this time of year a little harder than usual as I don’t have my hubby around. Being alone sucks, but God has been taking care of me and I am so thankful for that.

I think when my sisters used to sing that song, it was really a curse they were putting on me. Sure enough, every Christmas Dallas seems to get fat - but where are the pennies? Only half the curse is being fulfilled. I really need to get a handle on this weight problem.

With my diabetes problem, I am eating much much better than I ever used to, but losing weight is so slow and depressing. I guess losing it slow is better than one big chunk that I would end up gaining back.

From my previous blog, I notice more people like snow than those that don’t. I still can’t figure it out though. So it looks nice - big deal. Lots of things look nice but are far from nice. You still didn’t give me any valid reasons for liking the white icky stuff. Sure, I like the look of snow on a moon lit night as well but that is as far as it goes. I still hate the snow itself. The look is pretty but the substance is yuck.

Well my friends, as you can see, my mind is all over the place today. Can’t really get a handle on blogging so I guess I will bid you farewell for this session.

Have a great day.

I HATE SNOW

What is it about snow that fascinates people so much?

Snow is:
precipitation in the form of small white ice crystals (notice ICE) formed directly from the water vapor of the air at a temperature of less than 32°F (0°C) (Notice Cold cold cold).

Some like snow but I have never been able to figure out the fascination with those tiny little flakes of wetness. What gets people so excited about it? It is beyond my comprehension. You can’t swim in it or bathe in it. You can’t wash your clothes in it or do your dishes. You can’t even water a lawn with it as the amount of snow is equal to about 100 flakes to 1 drop of water. It’s cold and sticky and yellow sometimes. You can’t really eat it. So what is all the hullabaloo of snow?

Maybe people like it cause it makes them feel like little gods cause they can walk on it like Jesus walked on water.

Oh I know, some say it looks so beautiful. Who are these people? Since when is "white" such a beautiful colour. I can have a piece of white paper in front of me and I don’t think it is that beautiful.

To me snow represents emptiness, desolation, barrenness, bleakness, nothingness, wilderness, deadness, and most of all - work - backbreaking work.

Snow means the end of summer and fall - that’s like death. It brings ending and closure to fun times. It means loss of life and great cost to cities.

Some facts:

Based on National Weather Service records for 1961 through 1990, Rochester, New York averages 94 inches of snow annually and is the snowiest large city in the United States. Their annual municipal snow-removal budget was $3.7 million in 1995.

Buffalo, New York, is a close runner-up in terms of U.S. large cities with the most snow. A 39-inch snowfall in 24 hours in early December 1995 cost the city nearly $5 million for snow removal.

Snow kills hundreds of people in the United States each year. The primary snow-related deaths are from traffic accidents, overexertion, and exposure, but deaths from avalanches have been steadily increasing.

In Canada we get a lot more snow than they do in the States so I can just imagine what our snow budgets for the year cost the taxpayers, not to mention the loss of lives and costs of accidents.

It is slippery and causes accidents. It is blinding. It causes the power to go out and people to freeze to death. It is cold, cold, cold. It causes traffic jams and causes people to lose time at work and school. It causes heating bills to go up and seems to bring the cold and flu with it. It causes millions of dollars in accidents and the loss of lives. Get a whole bunch of snow together and it causes avalanches.

So tell me - WHAT IS SO GOOD ABOUT SNOW???? Really, there must be a reason some people love it so much.

That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. Have a snow free day.

MOM AND DAD - MY HEROES

I have the greatest parents a person can have and I want the whole world to know it.

My mom and dad have been married 55 years and have set an example to their six daughters of what marriage is all about. They have shown us that with God’s help, all things are possible.

My mom is the center of the wheel and keeps us all united. We girls are the six spokes and my dad is the outer covering that keeps us going.

Mom has always been the center and has kept the family together and close. Family get togethers are very important to her.

Mom is from the "old school" way of doing things. She grew up on a farm and learned to make everything from scratch. That woman can stretch a dollar further than anyone I have ever met. She still bakes her own bread and buns and she is in her 70's. And ooooh the delicious bread and buns she does make. Just can’t buy that goodness in any stores.

Homemade soups are her specialty. Yum yum. She can turn anything into the most scrumptious soup. My husband grew up never liking soup but before too long, mom had him turned around to a soup lover - especially if you had the home made buns to dip into it.

When we were growing up, mom used to make all our clothes. Six girls to dress in dresses. She would whip them up with no patterns and they would all match.

Mom was a stay at home mom and we always knew she would be there for us. If she did take on extra jobs to make ends meet, she would do them in the evenings or on weekends. She not only took care of us, but many different relatives that would come to live with us on many occasions.

Mom was the one that got up with us in the middle of the night when we were sick. I will always remember her beautiful cool hands on my fevered brow. I also remember standing at her side by the stove when she would heat the eclectric oil to south my earaches. Then she would give me a nice hot water bottle wrapped in a towel. She always knew what to do.

Dad was and is a story teller. He would play with us and tell us all sorts of stories. We loved his stories and still do. He would make up these really sad stories and we would sit and listen and cry and cry, and then beg for more.

The odd time, he would decide to make supper for us. He would make these pan fried potatoes that were sliced super thin and would fry them up for us. Ooooh they were delicious. He would also make his famous "Pst, pst." toast. He would do this by singing bread on the stove element till it was browned on both sides.

Dad has always been our "Mr. Fix It". When we were younger he made us all doll cribs one Christmas. One year he made a ramp and connected it to the ceiling of our garage. All the kids in the neighbourhood would pile on and we would swing and sing away.

He can fix almost anything and if he doesn’t know what he is doing, he will pray about it and get step by step instructions from God on what to do. It is truly amazing.

He loves joking around and playing practical jokes on people. Like dressing up as an old woman and visiting our neighbour. She had no clue it was my dad.

He has worked very hard all his life providing for his family. Even when he lost his job after 25 years of working for the same company, he didn’t find it beneath himself to take on lowly jobs. He taught us that a good work ethic is priceless and caring for your family is what matters most.

Mom and dad taught us from young that having a belief in God was a major part of our lives. Dad would faithfully bring us to church each Sunday even if we had to walk. It was just a natural thing to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour when we got older.

I see others that have come from broken homes and have had abusive fathers and mothers and I thank God for the family he gave me. But for the grace of God, it could be me that came from those homes.

My mother reminds me of the virtuous woman talked about in Prover 31:10-31. My father reminds me of Jesus. A simple man with the heart of God. Always ready to help and do what must be done. Someone you can approach and not be afraid of. Someone who helps those around him. Someone who is truly human and fun to be with.

My mom and dad are my heroes.

HELP, IT SNOWED AND I CAN'T GET OUT!

It seems winter has hit with a force. This is the scene from my front door. What happened? Yesterday there was still green grass and lovely weather. Today, winter set in without warning. I was shocked when I got up this morning to see all this snow.

Those living in the south - consider yourself so blessed. I can not imagine what it must be like to live a winter without snow. Never in all my years have I ever experienced a Christmas without snow. I was wishing that maybe this year - but.....not to be.

I am sure that some of those "hardy" people are so thankful the snow is here as they can take out their snow machines and go flying through the snow. Me, I would rather curl up under a nice warm blanket and hypernate the whole winter.

It's times like this that I am realy going to miss my husband.

Ha, ha, I fooled the snow this year. I am ready for Christmas before the snow came. Have my tree up already. Mother nature can't fool me. Hee Hee.

Have yourself a very nice and cosy day.

JUST CHECKING IN

Howdy strangers. I guess it is high time I write again. My renovations are nearing their end and I am waiting on some living room furniture. Just last touches to be done. You will have to wait for pictures though as I will only post the finished product.

Besides renovations, I have been busy running back and forth to doctors and for blood tests. I have been diagnosed with Diabetes and am back and forth checking for sugar levels.

I finally bought myself a glucose meter the other day so I can check things out for myself. So far my levels seem pretty normal so I don’t know what the fuss is all about but I am still going to try to eat better and get healthier.

I think I lost weight but I can’t remember what I weighed last time I went to see the doctor and they didn’t have it on record so I can’t be sure. If I did lose any, it would only be about 5 pounds, which is good. Little by little just by changing my eating habits instead of losing a lot on some diet fad.

I also bought myself some exercising equipment and plan to exercise. Problem is right now I can’t get the stuff together. Will have to wait for one of my son-in-laws to put them together for me.

My grandsons are doing great. They are both so adorable. I was going to include little video's of them but "Castpost" doesn't seem to be working right now. Oh well, something else you will have to wait for.

Hope you have a terrific day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB

The first day I met you, I knew I liked you. You were so down to earth funny and fun to be with. You brightened my day. I went home and sang your praises to Val and told him he just HAD to meet you.

I giggle as I think back of your uneasiness when it came to dating Angela and how you thought we might take it. I was all for it from the get go and did a little match making myself.

Little did I know that one day you would be my son-in-law and a tremendous blessing to my life.

Rob, I am so very PROUD to call you my son-in-law. You mean to world to me. You have helped me in ways you don’t even know. I was lost when Val died and you stepped in and have helped me so much. Words cannot express the gratitude and love I have for you. If my son had lived, I wish he could have been very much like you.

People Just Like You (stolen from the net)

Someone who takes the time to think of other people's needs
And warms so many hearts with gentle words and thoughtful deeds.

Someone who can always chase a little cloud away
And add a bit of fun...a ray of sun to every day

Someone who sincerely tries
to understand and sympathize

Someone who's glad to share
so glad to help and give and care

It's wonderful to know someone who always wears a smile
Who sees the sunny side of things...
who makes life so worthwhile

It's so wonderful to have a chance like this to tell you too...
The world would be a better place.......

if more people were like you.

I'M ON A ROLL

Two posts in one day....

So why don’t people drink from China cups and saucers much anymore?

Cons:

1. They are hard to hold on to.
2. They are so small and hardly hold any liquid.
3. They are so delicate you are afraid to break them.
4. They cost so much and you are afraid to break them.
5. They are not microwavable.
6. They sit in your china cabinet and you forget about them.
7. Can’t find a proper spoon to use with them.
8. You are afraid to break them.
9. Can’t afford to buy a whole set
10. Never have enough to go around when you have a special occasion.

Pros:

1. You use them to mark very special occasions
2. You feel so special using them.
3. You feel dainty using them
4. You look like you are rich when you use them
5. They make lovely gifts for hard to buy people
6. You can make your china cabinet look nice by displaying them

Why do we have fancy dishes and silverware to mark special occasions? Why don’t we celebrate life every day and use the special stuff. One day we will be all gone and what good was having all the special stuff displayed in a china cabinet?

When was the last time you treated your family to the expensive stuff just for the sake of telling them they are special? I think we should bring out the special stuff more often. I am sorry I didn’t do it while my husband was alive. I should have celebrated with him on a regular basis. Now it is too late.

I challenge each and every one of you to make a special date within the next week.

Take out the fanciest tablecloth you have. Set the table with the fanciest dishes you have. Light candles. Play soft music in the background and make a memory for your family. It doesn’t matter what you serve for dinner as they will just wonder what the special occasion is.

I think every one needs to be treated special once in awhile.

For those of you with children... why not make some memories for them by just having a special dinner with you and one child. Send the others out with their daddy or mommy and take that special time with that one child. Use the fancy dishes and cutlery and spoil that child. It will create a memory that will be cherished for years to come. You can’t buy memories like that. It is never too late. It doesn’t matter if your child is grown up or not - Just DO IT. You never know when it might be your last chance to tell them how special they are.

Some things can be put off but please DON’T PUT THIS OFF. It is very important.

I am declaring October as MAKE FAMILY MEMORIES MONTH.

Making memories doesn’t have to cost a lot, but in the end, they are worth millions.

Anyone have any ideas, please feel free to post them all this month. Let’s share the memories we make with one another.

Hope you make a special day for your family.

Hope you have a good day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

A Happy Birthday to me
A Happy Birthday to me
May I feel Jesus near
Every day of the year
A Happy Birthday to me
A Happy Birthday to me
And the Best Year I ever had.

So how does an old lady plan to spend her 54th Birthday. Well, first of all I am going to soak in a nice warm bath for as long as I like. I will scent the bath water with my favourite perfume and just relax. Then I will wrap up in a nice cozy bathrobe while I dry and set my hair. I will make myself a nice cup of green tea and drink it from a china cup and saucer with gold silverware. Then I will start putting on makeup and do my nails. When I am satisfied with the look, I will put on my Rhinestone necklace, earings and bracelet and then dress up in a fancy dress I have never worn before. Then I plan to go to my daughters and get my picture taken. I will pose like a model and let her snap and snap to her hearts content. I will end the evening with a couple of glasses of champagne while watching Survivor.

Doesn’t that sound so very special. A day just to be me and play dress up. I think I am going into my second child hood. What does a single 54 year old woman do on her birthday? I don’t have any other plans so I made my own.

Doctor gave me a ‘WOW’ of a birthday present yesterday. He told me I had Diabetes. Whooopeee! Lovely gift don’t you think. Well, he didn’t really give it to me - I guess I did it to myself. Oh well, that is life and it goes on. Now I will have to be on a strict diet to get my blood sugars down and my weight down. I was planning to do that anyway. I don’t have to take insulin yet and I hope I can keep it that way.

I got to babysit my grandson Zander last night. He is getting so cute and is smiling now. I snapped a picture and he just kept smiling and smiling for me. Then he was cooing and it just melted my heart. He was so good and went to sleep till Mommy and Daddy got home.

Hope you enjoy the picture. As soon as I can get one of my other grandson, Tyler smiling, I will share that with you as well.

Hope you have wonderful day.

LATEST PICTURES FROM PROUD GRANDMOTHER

These are the latest pictures of my two beautiful grandsons. There are both perfect little babies and growing so well.

This first one is Zander. He is now a little over 12 pounds 12 ounces.

Second one is Tyler. a little over 9 pounds now.

Both babies seem to be in excellent health and the mommies are just terrific with their babies. I am so proud of both mommies. Never knew my girls had it in them to be such good mommies. I am envious. Wish I had been so good with them but I guess they learned by my mistakes.

The daddies are quite terrific as well. Never knew my son-in-laws would be so TERRIFIC with their little ones.

God has given me a special gift in both my son-in-laws and I am soooooooo very thankful for the both of them and so very proud to call them my son-in-laws. Couldn't ask for better daddies or sons.

Hope you have a God Blessed day.

ON TO WEIGHTIER MATTERS

I am trying something new right now (in regards to losing weight) to see how that will work. If I have something to eat, I try to only eat till I feel satisfied and then leave the rest. It is hard leaving it at times but I am managing a little so far. Like the other day I made Chicken fingers and Tater Tots. I felt satisfied half way through so I brought the plate to the kitchen thinking I would eat it later or the next day. Well, I hadn’t had Tater Tots in quite awhile so every time I went into the kitchen I popped a few in my mought till they were all gone. I did end up leaving four chicken fingers though and ended up having to throw them out yesterday.

I made a double batch of soup as usually one pack isn’t enough. I ate and ate and when I felt satisfied, I left the rest. There was nearly a half bowl left but I didn’t touch it. Last night I made toasted BLT’s. Two of them. I ate one and a half and felt satisfied so I ended up giving the last half to the dog (minus the bacon of course - can’t leave bacon. HH). It is a very small start but may end up helping in a long run. Don’t need those extra calories anyway. Of course after eating that I end up snacking on peanuts and chips but I would have done that anyway.

"What is with this old Lady and why can’t I get my life together?" Maybe it all stems back to years of habits. It is like I have to start all over again and feel it is just to hard to do and at my age, I wonder why I should bother. Before I had the whole world ahead of me and now it is all behind me and I don’t see a bright future. If I could get the mind set of a young person again I could see that there is a brighter future and I would want to work towards it. I would still have all the dreams of someday doing this or that. Why is it at my age I tend to give up and not pursue those dreams anymore.

Because I come from an older generation I seem to think that I have reached my limit somehow. Why is that? I could exercise and learn to eat right and get my weight right down and my body looking gorgeous yet - IF I REALLY WANTED TO. So what stops me? I could be slim and trim and be eyed by so many guys - IF I WANTED TO? Sure it would take hard work and effort but wouldn’t it be worth it? Look at movie stars my age. They do it. Why can’t I?

I need to get motivated to do something.

"Let’s get physical, physical, I wanna be physical physical. Let me hear your body talk, your body talk." (It's a song.)

Yet here I SIT doing nothing. Doing what comes naturally. HH

What do I need to motivate me? The promise of money? The promise of good health? Long Life? Fame? Fortune? Loving man? What????

It really can’t be as hard as it seems.

Speeking of weight issues, do you ever watch the Biggest Loser? It is a show all about fat people trying to lose weight and be the biggest loser of pounds and body mass. I love the show. Gives me encouragement to see those people struggling so hard and losing so much weight. And then they show their after pictures and it is just amazing. I’d love to be on that show. Sure could use the motivating and exercise equipment they have there as well as the trainers. Mind you they are always tempting them with delicious food but the people seem to resist. Maybe it is having a team you have to work for that helps them. You know, the peer pressure thing.

On to weightier matters>:

I finally finished it. It isn’t exactly how I would have liked it but it is o.k. It is huge.

Hope you have a physically challenging day.

ESPECIALLY FOR DOUG, DARLENE AND PAM

You asked for it and you are getting it. I can’t guarantee that it will be pretty or witty or wild. Probably mild compared to Darlene’s.

So many fans! What’s a person to do? Couldn’t I just send autographed pictures to make you happy? I’m just so busy with all my fan mail that I just don’t have time to blog. Hee Hee.

O.K. O.K. let’s get down to business. Speaking of business, that’s what I have been up to. So many days of busyness. Doctor’s appointments, denturist appointments, blood tests, and a hair appointment. I’m having my own personal make-over. Then when I am all fixed up, I plan to make over my living room.

Getting back to the doctor’s appointments - I phoned every doctor in the town nearby to see if they were taking new patients. Not one of them was taking any. Can you believe it? Where have all the doctor’s gone? Finally I got one that will take me on as an interim patient. He will give me my prescriptions and I can go to him for minor ailments, but if anything major comes up...I have to fend for myself. This doctor donates part of his time to being a hospital doctor as well as some others so their patient load suffers. They are trying to get in a full time hospital doctor to free up the other doctors. If they do that, then he will take me as a patient.

I’m getting new teeth. Yipee! It has been over 15 years since I had any new teeth. Denturist says my teeth are in pretty good condition for being that old. I get to pick up the new ones next week and they will be a shade or two whiter so you will see me coming from a mile away and I will glow in the dark. (Only if I am smiling)

I got my hair cut and died. No, I didn’t die. My hair died. No, it was dyed. The hair that is. O.k. so I am being silly. It is fairly short compared to before but I really like it. Seems I got it done the same day Darlene had her hair cut. I guess great minds think alike or maybe it was something in the water we drank.

I’ve been busy cleaning my house and packing stuff up. I had to clean out my large closet off of the living room as we are going to open up the side of it and put my desk and junk in there. We will close off the front doors and put doors on the side so when I am not using my office, it will all be hidden from view. Then that will extend my living room a little. I bought paint and material and have to get busy washing my walls and then painting them. I bought a bright red for the walls and will alternate the walls with white on some and red on the others. My furniture is blue so I will have a red, white and blue theme.

The material I got for the curtains is a sheer white for the under curtains and a sheer red (that matches the paint) for the over curtains/valance.

My son-in-law Rob made me a footstool/coffee table that I am upholstering in a matching red material. It is 44 inches by 24 inches by 18 inches high. It will be on wheels so it will be easier to move around. The lid comes off and I can use it for storage.

I got my breakfast nook up in the kitchen and I LOVE MY KITCHEN. Every time I go in there I just look around and enjoy it. I still want to paint the kitchen cabinets but even now I still love it. I cut out sponges to make cushions for the seat but the sponge is 5 inches thick and a little to big. As it is, the seats sit so much higher than the table. I have to either raise the table or shorten the cushions.

I had a few days where I was really missing Val and down in the dumps. I didn’t do anything on those days but just moped around. It is hard getting used to living alone and having to do everything for myself. So many little things you don’t even think about. It helps having my daughters as handy as a phone call away. Now that they both have their babies they are home nearly all the time and I can call whenever I am feeling down. I also have my best friend Tilly who listens to me when I am in the dumps and I unload on her. She really is a gift from God.

Well folks, that is about it for this blog. Will do another soon on the BABIES.

Have a make over day. Make over your mind to trust in Jesus.

TILLY'S POEM

Below is a poem my friend Tilly wrote and I wanted to share it all with you. Please let me know what you think of it.

Blessings abundant rain from His hand
touched by the Master, yielded to Him
in the storms of the soul
His promise still true
My child through it all
through it all
I'm with you

He is the Man of great sorrows
despised and rejected
forsaken by men
and acquainted with grief
wounded for sins
He never committed
chastised for our peace
all was laid upon Him

He was oppressed
He was afflicted
He bore all our sorrows
and is touched with our pain
but we hid our faces
how we despised Him
we considered Him smitten
we did not esteem

Father forgive us
for we have rejected
we have forsaken
and we have not believed
but with such great compassion
You have redeemed us
You have drawn us with mercy
and with grace have received

Sing oh thou thot barren
break forth into singing
lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes
Fear not I command you
for you will no longer remember
the shame of your youth
I your God will not forsake

I am your Husband
I will not reject you
I do not abandon
I do not refuse
I will have compassion
nor will I rebuke you
says the Lord your Redeemer
for my name is Truth

Oh you so afflicted
storm tossed, without comfort
though the mountains depart
and the hills be removed
yet My love and My kindness
My covenant of completeness
should all things be shaken
I will not forsake you

No weapon that is formed
against you shall prosper
so come to the waters
come be renewed
for you shall be led forth
with joy by your Leader
and the mountains shall break forth
into song before you

Instead of the thorn
shall come up the cypress
and instead of the brier
the myrtle tree
and it shall come to pass
says the Lord your Redeemer
as an everlasting sign
a memorial to Me

With age-enduring love
I will have compassion
My covenant of peace will not be removed
if your night is endless
bring your darkness before me
I will cause dawn to break
through the darkness for you

For you are beloved
hear Me, YOU ARE BELOVED
I AM your Kinsmen Redeemer
so come unto Me
I will prove Myself faithful
I will be your portion
from everlasting to everlasting
I AM eternity

Have a God Blessed day.

MORE POWER

More power, more power. Ooo ooo ooo As Tim Allen would say. I have more power. I bought myself a riding mower yesterday and was tooling around my yard today mowing my lawn. Oooo Oooo OOOO. What a rush. Little old me on that big horking tracktor. I felt powerful and alive. It's about time I got a riding mower. Pushing the old mower left me lifeless and panting for air. I would have to quit every few feet and take a few breaths and a break. Now I can skoot around in style and finish in no time flat. Too bad summer is nearly over and I can't enjoy it too much longer but then there is next year to look forward to.

Too bad they don't make riding snow blowers. Well I guess they do but they are called front end loaders and made for much bigger areas than my yard. I guess I will just have to trudge along pushing the snow blower. I'm not complaining mind you. I am very happy to have a snow blower and not need to shovel. Yech! No way I could lift a shovel. The stairs will stay full of snow but my walkways and driveway will be clean.

So why haven't they invented a riding vacume or floor sweeper or for that matter a riding floor washer. Only men get the good machines. We still have to do everything by hand and foot. If men did more house cleaning we would have the easier machines. Not complaining again of course as it could be worse. At least someone invented the broom, mop and vacume. Our poor ancestors had to do all that on their hands and knees. Mind you, in a long run, they were better off for it. They got their excercise for free and didn't have to join a spa to get in shape.

We have it so easy now a days in comparison so why are we all so much more stressed out each day? We run run run around doing doing doing and what do we really get accomplished?

Imagine getting up at 5:00 in the morning and feeding livestock and milking them, collecting eggs etc. Then coming in to a large breakfast that momma made while dressing and getting 12 kids ready for the day. Fresh bakes bread, hand churned butter, freshly slaughtered bacon, home grown fresh potatoes, free run chicken eggs, hand sqeezed orange juice, milk from the cows, etc. Talk about being busy and the day is just beginning. Then having to go out and plow the fields with a horse and whatever it is they call that thing they drag behind it. Then planting acres and acres of vegies to keep you over the winter.

And WE THING WE HAVE STRESS. Sheesh, how did they survive? I guess they were just too busy to have stress.

Now I have to worry about gas and oil changes. And do you ever need new tires for a riding mower? What if something breaks? What do I do? What if the thing tips over? Will I be able to turn it over? What if I lose the key? How do I start it then? Worry worry worry. What have I got myself in for? Maybe I could just take a pair of scissors and clip the grass that way. Better yet, maybe I will get a cow and wouldn't have to worry about mowing. Just milking and vet bills and feeding and and and..............

Have a powerful day.

WHAT COLOUR SHOULD YOUR BLOG BE?

Your Blog Should Be Purple

You're an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything.
You tend to set blogging trends, and you're the most likely to write your own meme or survey.
You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you - not what anyone else has to say.

WHAT PATTERN IS YOUR BRAIN?

Your Brain's Pattern

You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy.
You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts.
People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused.
But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination.

WHO AM I?

I decided to take the test that Pam at "This side of Heaven" took and these were my results. I guess I am like Carole Lombard.

Have a good day.

You're a little bit of a fruitcake, but you always act out in style. You have a good sense of humor, are game for almost anything, but you like to have nice things about you and are attracted to the high life. You're stylish and modern, but you've got a few rough edges that keep you from attaining true sophistication. Your leading men include William Powell, Fredric March, and Clark Gable. TYLER VALETORT HUMPHREYS

He's a beautiful healthy baby boy. Six pounds six ounces.

Grandma is so excited and anxious to meet him for the first time. The new mommy and daddy are also very excited.

Tyler was born on my daughter Sharleen's birthday. What a great birthday present from God. Children are a gift from God and this child is especially a special gift from God.

The birth mother is doing well after having to have the baby by C Section. All the adoption works are in the process.

Hope you have a Blessed Day.
