POSTING A COMMENT

Good Morning Everyone

I want to write this note to acknowledge some of the people that read my blog on a regular basis and don’t often comment or never comment at all.

I have people like Aunty Joyce and Rainnia who read me regularly and maybe many others that I don’t know about. I would like to know who reads once in awhile so get busy and post a comment. You can also read what other people are commenting. Sometimes we can have back and forth conversations with other people this way.

It occurred to me that maybe some of you don’t know that you can post comments and let me know you are reading. So here is a quick lesson.

If you would like to comment, run your mouse over this phrase at the bottom of this article.

"What my 'peeps' have chirped about.....I have 1 'peeps' who made my day"

You will see a line appear under the pharse "have ‘peeps’ who made my day." Click on that.

A new window should open with comments on it.

Then run you mouse over the line "Post a comment" Click on that. Another window should open for you.

In this window there is a box where you can leave your comments to let me know you have viewed the article.

Leave your name in the comments box so I know who you are, or if you like, you can just click on the spot that says anonymous.

Make sure to type in the letters you see in the Word Verification section and then login.

I hope to see you posting comments.

I hope this helps. Have a great day.

FINAL DESTINATION

The beautiful sun poked it's head through my window and rudely awakened me. As I set my C Pap machine to the off position and tried getting out of bed, the bladder inconsistency started to kick in and I had to rush to the bathroom. With my daily routine of peeing, washing the sleep from my eyes, and combing my hair, out of the way, I stumbled to the kitchen to get my regular cup of coffee to start my day.

O.k. I am moving. Stiff all over but none the less moving. But for only a few minutes as I sit myself down at my computer to begin writing the weekend events to my friend and family.

Oh Yeh, forgot to take the hand full of pills I need to keep me going each day. One for diabetes, two for high blood pressure, two for taking the liquids out of me, one for colesterol, one to keep my blood thin, one for anti-depression, not to mention Cod liver oil to keep my joints moving , multi vitamin because I don't eat properly, Vitamin B 100 to give me energy and a little garlic pill to keep cold germs away and make everything taste better. O.k. Now that I have had my breakfast, it is time to move on with my day.

As I read over what I've already written, I realize that this is an "Old person's" letter. When did this happen to me? When did I suddenly become Old? When did the aches and pains start? What could I have done differently to stay young?

Look out people. It could happen to you in an instant. Time creeps up on you in the night and snatches your youth away.

It reminds me of that movie "Final Destination" where they just cannot escape death's plan. This is the grim reaper of age that comes to get us all. Do what you want but he will get you in the end. There will be the sequal "Final Destination 2 and 3" but in the end he catches us all.

Some try to fool him with face lifts, cosmetic surgery, exercise programs, make up, clothes, healthy eating, etc. but he can see through all that and he WILL GET YOU in the end.

So what can we do about it? That is the big question.

I suggest we make each day count for something. We know the end is coming some day so why not prepare for our final destination.

Do you know where your FINAL DESTINATION IS GOING TO BE?
Please read the following link so You too can prepare for YOUR FINAL DESTINATION.

Have a great day and Stay Young at heart.

WHAT KIND OF COFFEE ARE YOU?

You Are a Plain Ole Cup of Joe

But don't think plain - instead think, uncomplicated
You're a low maintenance kind of girl... who can hang with the guys
Down to earth, easy going, and fun! Yup, that's you: the friend everyone invites.
And your dependable too. Both for a laugh and a sympathetic ear.

MORE CRAFTS

These are the two cards I worked on last night. The cards are hand cut and then overlapped. Then I glued on felt for the pot, embroidery thread for the stems, cut up some leaves and made yo-yo's for the flowers. Then put on a backing paper to make it look like a lattice fence. Have a great day.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME

Monday was my one year anniversary of blogging and wouldn’t you know, I forgot about it. As I get older, I forget about a lot of things. So I am writing today for my anniversary letter.

It’s been a hectic year and a year of surprises. I lost a husband but gained a son-in-law and two of the most precious grandsons. When God takes something away he seems to give it back in multiples.

I lost a month in the hospital but gained back a lot more energy and much less time sleeping.

I lost companionship but gained a load of love and friendship to carry me through. I don’t take anyone for granted anymore and treat each person like it may be the last time I ever see them. I don’t want any regrets when it is my time to go.

Through it all, I paid off a lot of old debts and I’ve gained financial security and independence.

I am learning to live "One Day at a Time" and that’s all anyone can wish for.

Through it all I’ve grown much closer to my dear Friend Tilly. She has been with me every step of the way and has shown me a love I never knew existed between friends. She has allowed me to unload on her numerous times and love me through it all. I don’t know what I would have done without her in my life at this time. I wish everyone had such a special friend. They are so very hard to come by but if you have one - hang on to that friend for dear life.

God had it planned from way back and worked it out that I would have her to help me through and I am so thankful to him for that. We are Jonathan and David.
Pro 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Speaking of Tilly, she came and spent last week with me and we had a ball. Just look at the pictures to see how much fun we had. Hee Hee. She seemed to let loose a little more this time and posed for me.

You will see how she dressed when she went out to start her car on the coldest day of the year. She made me laugh and we had a good time. We spent a lot of time watching movies and just being together in quiet contemplation.

I sent her home with my little Boo Boo. I can hardly play with him as I am allergic and I think that since Val passed away he has been very lonely. Tilly loves him so much and plays with him a lot. I know he will have a very good home there as she and her girls will give him loads of attention. I am so thankful for that. I will miss him but will comfort myself with knowing he is getting all the attention he deserves.

I have been spending a lot of time this year making crafts crafts and more crafts.

Maybe tomorrow I will just post pictures of some of the items I have been making. I am planning to have a craft sale of some sort this summer. If it seems to go over o.k., I might open up a little craft shop of some sort. It is something to think about and look forward to and plan on.

I think that about brings you up to date on my doings. Hope you have a wonderful day.

REDECORATING ON A SHOESTRING BUDGET

So, again I am sitting here, only this time I am not minding my own business.

Yes, I do sit here a lot.

Anyway, I am reading Darlene’s blog.

Coffee sitting on the desk with me and a whole lot of mess around me.

Well, I take a sip of nice creamy coffee.

OOOPS, I inhaled a bit of it.

Have to cough.

Mouth full.

What to do?

I have to hold it. I have to hold it.

Can’t, It is excruciating. Cough reflex is in overtime.

Out comes a little spray

O.k. Hope that will hold it.

No...... more coughing coming.

Oh Oh, Can’t hold it, can’t hold it, Whoooosh

Like a late torrent of rushing water from Hurricane Katrina comes the rushing spray of coffee all over my office.

Did I tell you that my office is small.

My nice mouse pad with a picture of my grandson Zander is covered. His face looks like he has chicken pocks or a bad case of pre adolescence acne.

My screen, my computer screen, where did it go?

Who turned out the lights and redecorated my walls? I didn’t want the walls spattered in a coffee colour. Just a nice white paint job would do thankyou.

The floor is covered, and I see ducks swimming by.

Everything has been newly redecorated in creamy coffee sprinkles. ARGH!

You are suppose to learn to keep your mouth shut Dallas.

Where is Mr. Clean when you really need him?

SMOKING CAN RUIN YOUR TASTE BUDS

So I am sitting here minding my own business, playing a game of solitare, which I usually do around this time of day, when my hunger pain strikes.

The nerve.

Right in the middle of a game.

So I leave my precious game and go in the kitchen to prepare my soup.

You see soup is what I have every day. Day after day after day. Soup for lunch.

And not just any soup. It has to be Chicken Noodle soup because I am a chicken noodle soup fanatic.

It’ o.k. though because chicken noodle soup has less carbs in it than vegetable soup. Who would have thought?

So, I prepare my soup in my nice big cup - which I use every day - and I bring it with me to my little computer room. And I do mean little.

This room is heated by light bulbs and you can stretch your arms out and touch each wall with no problem. Used to be a closet. Now I am a closet queen.

Well, I like to play games while I sip my soup.

I move my ashtray and put the soup cup in its place. Try to take a sip of the soup, but it is a little too hot.

O.k. I can wait.

I will have a cigarette while I am waiting.

Up comes the next game and I am really into it. So absorbed. So much excitement.

I flick my ashes into what I think is my ashtray and oooppps.

Did I really do that? What a moron I can be sometimes. ARGGG!

Ever taste smoked Chicken Noodle Soup. It’s really not that bad.
