What can I say.

What can I say, Jesus has been with me every day and every step of the way. He is leading and guiding me and giving me comfort that I never dreamed of. He is my rock and my Salvation. Whom shall I fear. God has been so gloriously taking care of me and my family. It is remarkable. Who would have thought that more than a week has past and I am still in awe of the peace I have. Your prayers are the cause of it. I know this with all my heart and I am so very very thankfull.

My life has been so full so far that I don't have time to mourn. People phoning, writing, dropping in. Val truly was loved and honoured. I never knew how much till now. I am so thank full that he made such a mark on so many.

I am learning things about myself and my courage is growing. Today I took a trip to a nearby town and drove there all by myself. Before my husband would drive me as I never had the confidence. Now I am gaining that confidence but relying on Jesus alot to lead and guide the way. Without him I could not do it. He is giving me the strength to go on and do more and more. I know that good will come from all of this.

I don't have alot to say at this time but wanted you all to know how I am doing. Believe me, you will probably hear about it when I start to mourn. Then I will pour out my heart and let you all in on it. For now, I just have to Praise Jesus for all that is in me. Thank you so much for all your prayers.

My you day be filled with the Glory of the Lord.

LOVE IS ALL AROUND ME

Love is all around me and I can actually FEEL it. There have been prayers going out for my family and I, from all over the world. I heard from a lady in Wales, that she was praying. It is remarkable. The Lord is with me. I sense His presence all around me, comforting me and helping me through this time. I have not been sad at all, not even once yet. The peace that passes understanding has totally taken over and it is because of all your prayers.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

The prayers are working and working wonderfully. It is amazing to think about. I think of the Lord first thing in the morning and through out the day. I feel his loving arms around me - leading me and guiding me. I guess Christians should be praying for one another all the time. What a difference we could make in the world if prayer like this went up each and every day for each of us. I wish the circumstances were different but for now I will just accept what is.

God has been so merciful and kind towards me during this time. I have seen what a treasure he has given me in my sons-in-laws because of all of this. I never realized what beautiful men they were. I am so very thank full for having them in my life at this time. They have both been the rocks that my daughters can lean on. They are God’s gift to us.

Praise His Holy name for bringing these wonderful men into our lives. Words cannot explain the love I have for both these men. These pillars of strength that we needed so badly at this time.

Please say an extra prayer for both of them. Their names are Doug and Rob and I pray and ask God to bless their socks off. I don’t know what I would have done without the strength of both of them.

Rob does not know Jesus as Lord and Saviour of his life yet so I ask that you will pray for his salvation. Please pray that God’s Holy Spirit will touch his heart and move him to know the truth and accept it. He has been a God send though, even though he doesn’t know the Lord. God can use anyone and he has used Rob mightily.

I thank each and every one of you for the prayers you have sent upward on my behalf. Only God can reward you for the gift you have given me and I pray he blesses each and every one of you tremendously. Thank you for being a part of my life. I hope to be able to repay each and every one of you in heaven some day.

Have a glorious Jesus filled Day.

ARE YOU READY

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Are you ready should you meet your maker today? One never knows the time when the Lord God of heaven shall call us home. Have you made your arrangements?

My husband just passed away a week ago. He came to know Jesus as his personal friend and saviour 29 years ago. During that time He became closer and closer to Jesus and walked and talked with Him daily. What a friend Jesus became to Him.

All the arrangements were made for him to go home with Jesus. He was not afraid to meet his great friend. Because of his prior preparations, I know where my husband is today and it gives me great peace. I don’t have to worry about where he is or if he will be alright. I know he is in the arms of Jesus. He is safe, he is healed and he is experiencing great Joy.

Many people make all the earthly arrangements for their funerals before they pass on but they miss the most important arrangements of all. They don’t arrange for the afterlife. Friends and family members cannot make those arrangements for you. Once you are gone it is too late.

You can make those arrangements at any time and it doesn’t cost you a dime. Jesus paid the price ahead of time. All you have to do is accept his great offer.

Where you go after you die is the most important decision you can ever make. Why would anyone put off making the arrangements. We all must die someday and there is a life after death. Where are you going to spend your eternity? Think about it. Today could be your last day on this earth. Are you ready to go?

There IS a heaven and there IS a hell no matter what you might think. There is enough PROOF of it for anyone who SERIOUSLY wants to check it out. Hell is not a place of partying and meeting with friends. It is a horrible place and was not created for man in the first place. God doesn’t want anyone going there but WE make the choices. Why would you want to chose extreme pain and suffering for your eternity when you can chose good health, happy times, meeting with friends and family, never being hungry, and joys you cannot even dream of.

God offers it all to us for FREE. Plus he offers us the bonus of being with us now, here on earth, to help us cope with the day to day stresses of life. He will walk with you and talk with you and guide you in the things you should do. He has a plan for your life and it is a perfect plan to give you the most amount of Joy you could possible have on this earth. He loves you dearly and only wants the very best for you.

Don’t look at those around you and ask questions of God. Just look to Him and turn to him. He will answer all your questions if you TRULY want to know. Why God does this or allows that, is not for you to know. Your life and what he does in your life is all that counts. You are the one that will have to give an account when you stand before him. Not what he did or didn’t do for others.

Do you want to stand before him as He judges you for the choices you made or didn’t make on this earth or would you rather just be gathered up in His arms and loved? That is what He offers you - HIS LOVE.

Please, please consider this from the depths of your heart. It is the most important decision you will ever make.

Say this prayer in all sincerity:

Father God.

I don’t know if you are real or not or if the things the Bible says are real or not but I TRULY want to know the truth. Please help me. If the things Jesus said are real, then I want to be a part of your family. Please come into my heart and become Lord and Saviour of my soul. Lead my life and guide me and make me into the person you want me to be. I ask all this in Jesus name.

I pray that you will say this prayer and some day I will see you in heaven as well.

Have a new and special day with Jesus in your life.

THE MAGICAL WATERFALL

Once upon a time there were two grey squirrels that lived in a forest. They would spend most of their time looking for certain leaves and berries to eat. They would eat some of them and the rest they would store away for the winter. No matter how much they ate, they never seemed to get quite enough to fill that empty feeling in the pit of their stomach.

One day Chitter, one of the grey squirrels, overheard the brown squirrels talking. He heard them say something about a waterfall in the forest. It seemed that if you went through the waterfall, you would find all the food you could possibly ever want. It was a different kind of food but when you ate it, you never felt that empty feeling in your stomach anymore. This really interested Chitter so he wanted to know more. He went home and asked Natter, the other grey squirrel, if he knew anything about this. Natter said "Ya, I’ve heard about it, but I don’t really believe in it. They say it is just a myth. I think the brown squirrels just keep that story going so they can get all our leaves and berries for themselves." Chitter thought on this and concluded that Natter was probably right.

A few days later Chitter overheard the brown squirrels talking again. This time they were talking about the forest. They were saying that very soon some lumbermen were coming in and cutting down all the trees. All of the brown squirrels were going to be moved to a wonderful forest where there was never winter and food was in constant supply. The grey squirrels were going to be burned with the underbrush from the forest because it was believed that they carried a terrible disease.

This really scared Chitter. He ran home and told Natter what he had heard. Natter tried to reassure Chitter by telling him it was all nonsense. He said "Look, they’ve been telling us that same story for years and years and nothing has happened to us yet. Besides, don’t you think the lumbermen would check us first before burning us? They would see that we don’t have any terrible disease. Quit listening to these fables. They are just tales to keep the simple minded squirrels amused."

Chitter wasn’t really sure about what Natter said. Those brown squirrels didn’t seem like simple minded squirrels to him and they really seemed to believe in what they were saying. He decided he was going to find out more.

That evening he watched and waited for one of the brown squirrels to be alone. He slowly approached him and said "Excuse me, but the other day I overheard a group of brown squirrels talking about a waterfall and a great forest. Could you tell me more about this? "I would be most happy to." said the brown squirrel.

"A long time ago when squirrels first came to live in this forest, they were all brown in colour. Then one day The Evil Taker came along and put in tar pits all over the place. Soon all the squirrels were grey in colour and their eyes were darkened so they couldn’t see very well. Many of them tried washing their fur in the nearby streams but the tar just wouldn’t come off. Others tried licking their fur but that didn’t work either.
After years of trying to get the tar off on their own, Mr. Forestkeeper came to show the squirrels the only way to get the tar off. He showed them the way to the magic waterfall that takes off tar. Some of the squirrels listened to him and followed him. Some of them said "You are a fool, my way is the best way." Others said, "What is wrong with being a grey squirrel? All my friends are grey squirrels?" The others just mocked him and called him a liar.

While he was with them He told them stories about a great forest where there was never winter and food was in constant supply. He told about many things that would happen in the forest and how the lumbermen were going to come and cut down all the trees. Everything he said has come true. He had to go away but he told the squirrels that he would come back to get the brown squirrels and take them to the great forest.

Those of us that believed the Forestkeeper have gone to the waterfall and had our coats and eyes washed clean. Now that we can see better it is easier for us to avoid the tar pits. If we accidentally fall into a pit, we know where the waterfall is so we can get cleaned up again. Also now that we can see better, we have noticed that there are nuts to eat as well as the leaves and berries. The nuts get rid of that empty feeling in the pit of our stomach. We have tried to warn everyone about the coming dangers but they just wouldn’t listen."

Chitter believed what the brown squirrel told him and asked to be lead to the waterfall.

You make up the rest of the story.

Have a spotless day.

"WHY IS THERE SUFFERING?"

I did not write the following article. I copied it from a bulletin board I used to go to. I am sorry I cannot remember which bulletin board and when I copied it. I also do not know the original name of the writer. I found the article to be very interesting and thought I might share it with you.

--------------

Study the soil for a moment. It naturally produces weeds. No one plants them; no one waters them. They even stubbornly push through cracks of a dry sidewalk. Millions of useless weeds sprout like there’s no tomorrow, strangling our crops and ruining our lawns. Pull them out by the roots, and there will be more tomorrow. They are nothing but a curse!
Consider how much of the earth is uninhabitable. There are millions of square miles of barren deserts in Africa and other parts of the world. Most of Australia is nothing but miles and miles of useless desolate land. Not only that, but the earth is constantly shaken with massive earthquakes. Its shores are lashed with hurricanes; tornadoes rip through creation with incredible fury; devastating floods soak the land; and terrible droughts parch the soil. Sharks, tigers, lions, snakes, spiders, and disease-carrying mosquitoes attack humanity and suck its life’s blood.

The earth’s inhabitants are afflicted with disease, pain, suffering, and death. Think of how many people are plagued with cancer, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, emphysema, Parkinson’s, and a number of other debilitating illnesses. Consider all the children with leukemia, or people born with crippling diseases or without the mental capability to even feed themselves. All these things should convince thinking minds that something is radically wrong. Did God blow it when He created humanity? What sort of tyrant must our Creator be if this was His master plan?

Sadly, many use the issue of suffering as an excuse to reject any thought of God, when its existence is the very reason we should accept Him. Suffering stands as terrible testimony to the truth of the explanation given by the Word of God. But how can we know that the Bible is true? Simply by studying the prophecies of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and 2 Timothy 3. A few minutes of openhearted inspection will convince any honest skeptic that this is no ordinary book. It is the supernatural testament of our Creator about why there is suffering...and what we can do about it.

The Bible tells us that God cursed the earth because of Adam’s transgression. Weeds are a curse. So is disease. Sin and suffering cannot be separated. The Scriptures inform us that we live in a fallen creation. In the beginning, God created man perfect, and he lived in a perfect world without suffering. It was heaven on earth. When sin came into the world, death and misery came with it. Those who understand the message of Holy Scripture eagerly await a new heaven and a new earth "wherein dwells righteous-ness." In that coming Kingdom there will be no more pain, suffering, disease, or death. We are told that no eye has ever seen, nor has any ear heard, neither has any man’s mind ever imagined the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Think for a moment what it would be like if food grew with the fervor of weeds. Consider how wonderful it would be if the deserts became incredibly fertile, if creation stopped devouring humanity. Imagine if the weather worked for us instead of against us, if disease completely disappeared, if pain was a thing of the past, if death was no more.

The dilemma is that we are like a child whose insatiable appetite for chocolate has caused his face to break out with ugly sores. He looks in the mirror and sees a sight that makes him depressed. But instead of giving up his beloved chocolate, he consoles himself by stuffing more into his mouth. Yet, the source of his pleasure is actually the cause of his suffering. The whole face of the earth is nothing but ugly sores of suffering. Everywhere we look we see unspeakable pain. But instead of believing God’s explanation and asking Him to forgive us and change our appetite, we run deeper into sin’s sweet embrace. There we find solace in its temporal pleasures, thus intensifying our pain, both in this life and in the life to come.

Dan~~~>hopes it answers someones question
--------------------------------
My View:

It is hard for us to see the overall picture. We just see our own little lives and wonder why God doesn’t do something about it. But it is a much larger issue than just us. It is the sin issue in the world. I believe that as we go on in this world the sin issue is getting bigger and bigger and there will be more and more suffering as a result of it. We can already see it happening in things like the Sunami (sp??) aides, earthquakes, etc. The individuals involved must be asking the same kinds of questions that we are asking. "Why is God doing this, or why does God allow such and such to happen?" The fact is that God isn’t doing it. He pronounced a curse on the earth because of sin at the beginning and the more mankind sins, the greater the suffering and affliction. It is like our sin opens a door for the enemy to work. The more sin on the earth the more the door is open for the enemy.

Yet, God in his soverignity still reaches down and loves the individuals (His children) and grants them peace in their trials and helps them to get through things. He will not allow more than we are able to handle. He is still soverign and still in charge but the natural events must still take place so the whole plan of the earth can be fulfilled. This is not to say that ‘your’ sin caused any of this. It is the general sin of the whole world. It is like a little baby that has something terribly wrong with it. It isn’t their sin that causes it but sin in general in the world.

Those are my thoughts. What are yours?
Hope you have a suffering free day.

SO MUCH FOR FREEDOM

Some of you have been asking what the machine I have looks like. I decided to put some pictures in here instead of a blog. So here they are.

This first one is me decked out in my mask. Isn't that the cutest picture of me. It looks like it is made of metal but it isn't. That is the reflection from the camera. It is all made of plastic.

This next one is a side view with a picture of the machine as well. The white thing around my head is not for toothache. Hee Hee. They finally invented something to get women to keep their mouths shut. Like it really works! NOT.

And here I am all snug as a bug in a rug. I always did like elephants and now I look just like one when I sleep. Oh Well.....

Hope you enjoyed my little show. Till next time.

Have a breathless day.

FREE, FREE, FREE AT LAST.

I am Free, free free at last. I got out of the hospital on Friday afternoon.

Thursday Val picked me up from the hospital at 10:00 and took me home for awhile. We left for the city about noon and went straight to the CPAP appointment. We were there a little over an hour as the man explained the machine and showed us everything about it and how to use it. Then he gave us our own machine. It is on permanent loan from the government. We don't have to pay for it or even pay a rental fee.

From there we went to my mom and dad's for the afternoon and visited with them. That went pretty well. Mom made us supper and shortly after supper we went to my daughter and son-in-law's (Sharleen and Doug's) place. Shar was out as she had a practice at the church but we visited with Doug and watched T.V. till it was time to go for the night's sleep appointment.

The nights sleep over went a lot better this time. They woke me at 6:00 and said we could go home. We drove straight back to Gimli Hospital and I was back in time for breakfast. Val went home and waited to hear from me.

When the doctor finally came in, he said I could go home that day, but I just had to wait till he heard from the doctor in the city. So he told me to hang around till 1:00 when he would be back at the hospital. Well 1:00 came and then 2:00 and finally about 3:00 he showed up. When I asked if I could go home he said "sure".

We had a number of errands to run before we came home and finally ended up home about 6:00 or later. By then I was ready for a nap and so was Val. We napped and then watched some movies we rented.

That night was the first night sleeping with the CPAP machine. I woke Saturday morning to a hard belly and much belly aches. I was loaded with gas. I was farting and burping for hours. I guess during the night I swallowed a lot of air. I don't know if that is a side effect or if I am breathing wrong during the night but the pain was horrible.

Woke up this morning totally bloated again. Farting and burping. It is so funny cause I am sooooo loaded with gas. My stomach gets hard as a rock from all the air I swallowed. And my burps and farts are looooong and just a lot of air. I'm sure you wanted to know all that - right? Hee Hee.

When I wake in the morning my face is all marked up from the face mask. I am quite a sight. Join that with the farting and burping and you have quite a picture. I don't think anyone will want anything to do with me in the mornings. Just hope no one comes to the door unexpectedly first thing in the morning. They will run for the hills.

Till next time. Hope you all have a gas free day.
