LETTER TO MY INTERNET FRIENDS AND FAMILY

I am finding out that there are many people who read my blogs but never comment on them. Thank you for reading - you know who you are. It doesn’t matter that you don’t comment, as long as I know you are reading. It is nice to keep in touch with everyone this way. I’m so glad you think of me enough to read my ‘boring’ life stories and share in my life in that way. I never feel alone just knowing there are people out there who read me and are a part of my life. Thank you.

Isn’t the internet great for that. It is our window on the world. You never feel quite alone when you have the internet. People are just a click away. I am finding out there are such loving giving people out there. People I don’t even know have commented and prayed for me. That is awesome. Gives us a little taste of what heaven will be like. Total strangers are our brothers and sisters. It is amazing to think about.

We don’t even know the miracles that have happened in our lives due to complete strangers. Sometimes God will let us in on some of it but a lot of times we have no idea. Someone just decided to pray for us and Voila, our life was saved from some weird car accident or something. We will never know on this side of heaven.

Prayer is a marvelous, wonderous thing. We don’t even know what our prayers can do. We can be a mighty army if we could just tap into our prayers and realize the great potential praying for others does.

I got a glimpse of the power of prayer after my husband died. People from all over the world were praying for me and I could sense God’s presence with me daily. He turned my mourning into joy and replaced the mourning with a love for others. It was past my understanding and so totally awesome. I just can’t find the words to describe this beautiful wonderful gift these people gave to me.

Not only that, but I found out I had people out there that really cared about me. Brothers and sisters from different countries that were feeling my pain with me and sharing their hearts with me. What a glorious gift to be in the family of God.

I have been sharing with you my joys and my sorrows. You stand by me when the going gets tough and you rejoice with me when things are great. Thank you so much for being a part of my life.

Soon I will be sharing the joys of being a grandmother. Something I have longed for for many years. Now I will experience it on the double. I can hardly wait to be able to share those precious little ones with you. You will probably get so sick of hearing about them. For sure you will get to see pictures, pictures and more pictures. Who else can I share them with if not my internet family and friends.

Please feel free to comment or write me any time you like. I look forward to hearing from you.

To everyone reading this - I LOVE YOU. Thank you for being a part of my life.

Have a terrific prayerful day.

Tink,

I do not consider your life boring! I love hearing about your anticipation as you await the birth of these precious gifts. Being a gma myself, I give you permission to post anything, at anytime, for any reason about these babies. That is what gma's do!!! I think it is in the gma's rule book, but since I have 5 grandchildren I have never gotten around to reading the rule book, choosing instead to "fly by the seat of my pants" and "go with the flow" If you need to rest, if you need to clean, if you need to store up some quiet, I would suggest that you do it now, because being a gma is the most wonderful blessing ever and you won't want to miss one single second of it. Tink...you are so special and I can prove it...God is blessing you with 2, not one but 2 first grandchildren...how special and wonderful is that!?!?!

Can't wait to hear more!

Love from your sister in another time zone, another country..but certainly not another state of mind!

Gma Pam

OK, so I wasn't finished...

comment part 2

One of my best friends lives in Alabama, I live in Oregon. We met on the internet throught a group we both belong to (wraptheminlove.org aka WTIL). where we create quilts for children in orphanages around the world. I "met" her on the internet in 1998. We have never met face to face, but she is still one of my nearest and dearest pals. I have traveled to 4 different states to meet other women who also belong to WTIL. I even flew from Oregon to Florida for a very quick 4 day trip and sewed the entire time I was there!!! Yes, the internet is a wonderful place to stretch out and find sisters in Christ, others with the same interests and etc. Especially for those of us, like me, who live in a teeny tiny town (population 4,000 here) it has really given me a window into the world.

OK..I think I am done...but you never know...I might think of something else and post a part 3.
